finding time

  this track was composed entirely in Ableton Live. i took a guitar sample and a bass sample and threw them together, and they totally didn't have the same time feel at all. but i liked it. so i stretched them apart even further. then i brought in a few other similar samples, cut them all up and resequenced them to make new melody bits out of them, and strung them up in a different order. i panned the guitar and bass opposite each other to enhance this feeling that there are two instruments on opposite sides of you, teasing each other with their different time feels. this is the one track that i successfully resisted saturating with percussion!
