It's like Uber, but a lot of people get on and off it continuously

It's just like Uber, except it:

  1. is less efficient and burns more fossil fuels
  2. requires more management and overhead
  3. funnels all the money into Travis Kalanick's pocket instead of into the civic community
  4. sounds a lot fancier
  5. doesn't matter anyway to the drivers, who will be replaced by self-driving cars within a few years either way -- but it's cute that Mr. Kalanick leads with that, as if he cares about his employees contractors
