Video demo of G-Speak “Minority Report” gesture interface

This demo video is old but resurfacing thanks to John Underkoffler’s recent TED talk. He led the team that created the fictional interface for the movie Minority Report, then founded the company Oblong Industries to turn the futuristic gesture-based control system a reality.
Already in use in the enterprise, in government, and in academia, Underkoffler predicts this type of control interface will reach the consumer mass market within 5 years.

It’s not just me! Time is really speeding up.

My theory is that time appears to be moving faster as we get older because as we age, each increment of time is an increasingly smaller sliver of the total time we’ve been alive.
When you were a day old, an hour was over 4% of your entire lifespan. At age 30, that same hour is only 0.0004% of your life. It feels like a drop in the bucket because, increasingly, it is.
