This demo video is old but resurfacing thanks to John Underkoffler‘s recent TED talk. He led the team that created the fictional interface for the movie Minority Report, then founded the company Oblong Industries to turn the futuristic gesture-based control system a reality.

Already in use in the enterprise, in government, and in academia, Underkoffler predicts this type of control interface will reach the consumer mass market within 5 years.
