studios need to figure out a way to reward this kinda stuff (see lip dubs too) instead of issuing DMCA takedowns.

From Miyazaki’s Ponyo and courtesy of MovieClips.com, which is a super great idea. Instead of issuing DMCA requests to take down mashups and scene compillations from films, studios should be finding ways to legally license clips easily and promote fan-made culture surrounding their titles.
